국문 초록

Objectives: Education and behavioral control are important for preventing oral diseases adolescence. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of oral health education programs for promoting oral health among adolescen and provide evidence for oral health education. Methods: A questionnaire was administered to 849 middle school students in Busan before and after participating in an oral health education program from April to July 2023. Data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program. Results: Significant positive changes in students’ brushing techniques, as well as improvements in their oral health knowledge and behaviors, were observed following the education program. Conclusions: It is necessary to expand oral health education programs tailored to the unique needs of adolescents. Increased, opportunities and financial support for projects linked to governmental and university partnerships should form the foundation for these efforts.
