충남지역 사망·중상 교통사고 발생 영향요인 및 위험지역 분석

국문 초록

충남은 사망교통사고 관련 지표수준이 낮은 지역 중 하나이며, 이는 도내의 질병 외 급성심장정지 발생에도 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구에서는 충남에서 발생한 사망·중상 교통사고 영향요인을 분석하고, 교통사고특성이 반영된 위험지역을 파악하고자 하였다. 도로교통공단에서 제공하는 TAAS를 활용하여 충남지역에서 2018년부터 2022년까지 발생한 교통사고 자료를 분석하였다. 해당 자료에 대해 R ver.4.1.1을 이용하여 로지스틱 회귀분석과 군집분석을 시행하였다. 분석결과, 충남의 사망·중상 교통사고는 야간, 고령층, 가해차량이 화물차, 피해차량이 이륜차 또는 농기계, 피해운전자가 보행자인 경우 특히 발생 가능성이높았다. 또한, 사망·중상 교통사고 위험지역으로 판단한 군집4에 포함된 지역별로 교통사고의 발생 특성이 다르게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 지자체의 교통사고 예방·관리 정책의 기초자료로서 활용할 수있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Chungnam is one of the regions with low levels of fatal traffic accidents indicators, which also affected the incidence of acute cardiac arrest stemming from non-illness causes. This study aims to scrutinize the determinants influencing fatalities and severe traffic accidents in Chungnam, pinpointing hazardous zones reflective of accident patterns. Traffic accident data from 2018 to 2022 in Chungnam were analyzed using the traffic accident analysis system (TAAS) provided by the Korea Road Traffic Authority. The analysis revealed that fatalities and severe traffic accidents in Chungnam were more prone to occur during nighttime, involving elderly individuals, with the offending vehicle typically being a truck and the victim’s vehicle often a two-wheeled vehicle or agricultural machinery. Furthermore, pedestrian casualties were frequently observed among the damaged drivers. Additionally, the characteristics of traffic accidents varied across different regions categorized under cluster 4, identified as hazardous areas. These findings are expected to be used as basic data for local governments' traffic accident prevention and management policies.
