보육교사의 의사소통능력이 공감성에 미치는 영향 - 효능감의 매개효과 중심

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 보육교사의 의사소통 능력이 교사효능감을 매개로 공감성에 미치는 영향을 규명하고, 이를 바탕으로 보육교사의 의사소통 능력 향상과 공감성 증진을 위한 방안을 구명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 서울시, 인천시, 경기도 지역의 98개 영유아보육시설에 근무하는 보육교사를 대상으로 2023년 6월26일부터 8월 25일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 519명의 교사가 응답하여 불성실한 응답 34명의 설문지를 제외하고 최종 485명의 자료를 분석에 사용하여 다음의 결과를 제시하였다.. 첫째, 보육교사의 의사소통능력이 공감성에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 의사소통능력은 인지적 공감과 정서적 공감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 의사소통능력이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 의사소통능력은 교사효능감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 교사효능감이 높은 교사일수록 의사소통능력은 높을 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사의 의사소통능력과 인지적 공감의 관계에서 교사효능감의 매개효과를 검증한 회귀분석 결과 의사소통능력과 인지적 공감 사이에서 교사효능감은 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났고 보육교사의 의사소통능력과 정서적 공감의 관계에서 교사효능감의 매개효과를 검증한 회귀분석 결과 의사소통능력과 정서적 공감 사이에서 교사효능감은 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of a childcare teacher's communication ability on empathy through the teacher's sense of efficacy, and based on this, to provide a method for improving the communication ability and empathy of childcare teachers. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted from June 26 to August 25, 2023 targeting childcare teachers working at 98 childcare facilities in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province. A total of 519 teachers responded, and the data of the last 485 teachers was used for analysis, excluding the questionnaires of 34 teachers who answered insincerely, and the following results were obtained. First, the effect of a childcare teacher's communication ability on empathy was examined, and it was found that communication ability has an affective (+) effect on cognitive empathy and emotional empathy. Secondly, the effect of a childcare teacher's communication ability on the teacher's sense of efficacy was examined, and it was found that communication ability has a positive (+) effect on the teacher's sense of efficacy, and the higher the teacher's sense of efficacy, the higher the communication ability. Thirdly, the results of a regression analysis examining the mediating effect of teacher efficacy on the relationship between childcare teachers' communication ability and cognitive empathy showed that teacher efficacy partially mediated the effect between communication ability and cognitive empathy, and the results of a regression analysis examining the mediating effect of teacher efficacy on the relationship between childcare teachers' communication ability and emotional empathy showed that teacher efficacy partially mediated the effect between communication ability and emotional empathy.
