의도의 연결어미의 사용 양상 연구 : ‘-(으)려, -(으)려고, -고자’를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 의도의 연결어미 ‘-(으)려, -(으)려고, -고자’의 용법 차이를 명확히 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해, <연세 20세기 한국어 말뭉치>에서 추출한 연결어미 용례 중, ‘교과서, 문학, 신문, 잡지, 정보’별로 각각 200개씩, 총 3,000개의 용례를 수집하였다. 그리고 대상어를 중심으로 특정 위치에서 규칙적으로 상호 발생하는 어휘들 사이에 형성된 ‘추상화된 의미적 특질’을 의미하는 ‘의미 선호’를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 상위 개념 수준의 의미 선호에서는 ‘-려고’가 다른 두 연결어미와 달랐으며, 하위 개념 수준에서는 ‘-고자’가 변별적이었다. 또한 사용역에 따라 각 연결어미의 의미 선호 사용 양상에서도 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 분석 결과는 세 연결어미의 변별적인 용법을 이해하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있으며, 한국어 교육 및 학습에 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the differential usage patterns of the Korean intentional connective endings '-(eu)ryeo', '-(eu)ryeogo', and '-goja'. The research analyzed the semantic preferences of 3,000 examples extracted from , comprising 200 samples each from textbooks, literature, newspapers, magazines, and informational texts. Results indicate that '-(eu)ryeogo' differs from the other two connective endings at the superordinate conceptual level of semantic preference, while '-goja' exhibits distinctive features at the subordinate level. Furthermore, a register-specific semantic preference analysis revealed varying usage patterns for each connective ending across different text types. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the three connective endings and provide valuable insights for Korean language education and learning. The study's methodological approach of examining semantic preferences offers new perspectives on the subtle functional differences between seemingly synonymous grammatical forms, potentially informing future research in Korean linguistics and language pedagogy.
