국내 고등학교 미술 수업 흥미 증진의 결정요인 분석: AHP 분석을 중심으로

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 고등학생들의 미술수업에 대한 흥미 증진에 기여하는 주요 결정요인을 도출하고자 했다. 방법 이러한 연구 목적을 위해, 서울에 위치한 고등학생 2, 3학년 50명 대상으로 AHP 분석을 위한 설문을 수행, 50부의 데이터를 확보했고, 엑셀로 개발한 AHP 분석 프로그램을 통해 이론적 배경에서 도출한 각 상위요인과 하위요인들 간 중요도와 우선순위를 첫째는 상위 요인별로 둘째는 각 상위 요인의 하위 요인별로, 셋째는 모든 요인들을 종합하여 분석했다. 결과 분석 결과, 첫째, 대분류 체계 요소 간 우선순위는 미술수업 환경요인, 미술수업 학생요인, 교수자의 개인적 특성, 교수 방법 및 수업 운영 순으로 확인되었고, 둘째, 교수 방법 및 수업운영 우선순위는 미술관련 정보제공, 수준별 수업, 보충지도, 수업 체계성, 수업 다양성, 상호작용 순이으며, 셋째, 교수자의 개인적 특성 우선순위는 유머, 교수자 능력, 교수자 지식, 교수자 자질, 교수자 태도 순이였고, 넷째, 미술수업 학생요인은 차후 진로, 미술관련 경험과 능력, 학습동기, 미술관련 성과, 성취동기, 미술교과 효능감 순이었으며, 다섯째, 미술수업 환경요인은 관련시설 지원정도, 수업공간의 물리적 환경, 안전 및 위생, 재료와 도구의 접근성 순임을 확인했다. 결론 이에 본 연구는 고등학생들의 창의적 미술 활동과 심리적 안정 지원을 위해, 미술수업의 가치 인식과 방향성 정립, 교수자의 전문성 확보, 학생 흥미 증진 전략을 제안하며, 이를 통해 점진적으로 미술수업 시스템과 환경을 구축할 수 있음을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives In current high school education, art is often perceived as a peripheral subject, leading to the loss of its importance and legitimacy. However, art education can significantly alleviate severe academic stress and enhance empathy and creativity among students, particularly in an increasingly individualistic society. This study aimed to identify the key factors that contribute to increasing high school students' interest in art education. Methods To achieve this research objective, a survey was conducted with 50 high school students in their second year or above, from schools located in Seoul, to perform an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis. The collected data were analyzed using an AHP analysis program developed in Excel, allowing for the assessment of the importance and prioritization of various factors. Results The analysis results revealed the following: First, the priority order among the main categories was identified as follows: art class environment factors, student factors, the personal characteristics of the instructor, and teaching methods and class management. Second, within the category of teaching methods and class management, the priorities were as follows: provision of art-related information, differentiated instruction, supplementary guidance, class structure, class diversity, and interaction. Third, regarding the personal characteristics of the instructor, the priorities were humor, the instructor’s capability, the instructor’s knowledge, the instructor’s qualities, and the instructor’s attitude. Fourth, the student factors in art classes were prioritized as future career plans, experience and ability related to art, learning motivation, art-related performance, achievement motivation, and self-efficacy in art. Lastly, the factors related to the art class environment were identified in the following order of priority: support for related facilities, the physical environment of the classroom, safety and hygiene, and accessibility to materials and tools. Conclusions Thus, this study highlights the importance of establishing systems and environments for art education that foster creative activities and psychological stability for high school students. To achieve this, it is essential to establish a clear direction for art education, recognizing its value, significance, and positive effects. The proposed strategy involves gradually building an art education system by first enhancing students' interest and engagement in art classes through the provision of professional knowledge based on humor and wit, as well as fostering a high standard of instructor qualities and attitudes, and identifying and nurturing students' artistic talents and potential. By doing so, it becomes more feasible to secure the necessary systems and physical facilities for art education.
