국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 실버층의 사회성이 외모관리행동에 미치는 영향을 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 55세 이상 실버층 186명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 진행하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석을 위하여 SPSS 26.0을 이용하여 기술분석, 신뢰도분석, t-test, 분산분석(One-way-ANOVA)과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과의 요약은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실버층의 일반적인 특성에 따른 사회성의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 연령, 학력, 월평균 용돈 등에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 실버층의 일반적인 특성에 따른 외모 관리 행동의 차이를 살펴본 결과 성별, 연령, 학력, 월평균 용돈에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 실버층의 사회성이 외모 관리 행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 성별, 연령, 사회성이 외모 관리 행동에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 실버층을 대상으로 사회적 성향에 따른 외모관리행동 유형을 통해 개인의 다양한 사회적 역할에 적합한 외모 관리 방향을 제시하였다는 점과, 뷰티 산업의 실버층 마케팅 전략 수립에 실증적인 자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of the sociality of the silver generation on their appearance management behavior. To this end, a survey was conducted on 186 silver generation members aged 55 or older. The main research results are summarized as follows. First, as a result of examining the differences in sociality according to the general characteristics of the silver generation, statistically significant differences were found according to age, education level, and monthly allowance. Second, as a result of examining the differences in appearance management behavior according to the general characteristics of the silver generation, statistically significant differences were found according to gender, age, education level, and monthly allowance. Third, as a result of examining the influence of the sociality of the silver generation on their appearance management behavior, gender, age, and sociality were found to have statistically significant effects on their appearance management behavior. This study is significant in that it suggests a direction for appearance management suitable for various social roles of individuals through types of appearance management behavior according to social tendencies targeting the silver layer, and in that it provides empirical data for establishing silver generation marketing strategies in the beauty industry.
