발달장애 청소년 부모의 성인지 감수성이 자녀의 성역할 고정관념과 성지식에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 발달장애 청소년 부모의 성인지 감수성과 자녀의 성역할 고정관념과 성지식을 알아보고 일반적인 특성에 대한 차이와 각 변인 간의 상관관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 광주 지역의 9개 기관에 재학 중인 특수학교 및 특수학급에 다니는 발달장애 청소년과 그 부모를 대상으로 하였다. 연구 대상은 자폐성장애 및 경증 지적장애를 가진 학생들로 설문 조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 평균과 표준편차 그리고 왜도 및 첨도를 확인한 후 상관분석을 사용하여 변인 간의 상관관계를 확인하였다. 결과 첫째, 부모의 성인지 감수성은 연령이 낮을수록, 직업을 가지고 있을수록 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 발달장애 청소년의 학교 급이 높아질수록 성지식이 높아지는 경향이 있었으나, 성역할 고정관념은 낮아지는 경향이 있었다. 셋째, 발달장애 청소년 부모의 성인지 감수성은 자녀의 성역할 고정관념과 성지식에 유의한 상관이 나타났다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과는 발달장애 청소년의 성교육과 성역할 고정관념 개선을 위해 부모의 성인지 감수성을 향상시키는 프로그램의 필요성을 제안하였고 이를 통해 발달장애 청소년의 성역할 고정관념을 줄이고 올바른 성지식을 갖추게 하는데 기여할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to examine the gender sensitivity of parents of adolescents with developmental disabilities and their children's gender role stereotypes and sexual knowledge. It also seeks to explore differences in general characteristics and the correlations between various variables. Methods The study focused on adolescents with developmental disabilities attending special schools or special classes in nine institutions in the Gwangju area and their parents. Participants included students with autism spectrum disorder and mild intellectual disabilities, and data were collected through surveys. The data collected in the study was analyzed using SPSS 22.0 software to calculate the mean, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis. Afterward, correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between the variables. Results First, parents' gender sensitivity was found to be higher when they were younger and employed. Second, as the school level of adolescents with developmental disabilities increased, their sexual knowledge tended to increase, while their gender role stereotypes tended to decrease. Third, the gender sensitivity of parents of adolescents with developmental disabilities showed a significant correlation with their children's gender role stereotypes and sexual knowledge. Conclusions These findings suggest the necessity of programs to improve parents' gender sensitivity to enhance sex education and reduce gender role stereotypes among adolescents with developmental disabilities. Such programs could contribute to reducing gender role stereotypes and fostering proper sexual knowledge in these adolescents.
