그림책 연계 수학활동이 유아의 수학적 성향과 사회적 기술에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 그림책 연계 수학활동이 유아의 수학적 성향과 사회적 기술에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 경남 T시에 소재한 YN병설유치원 만 4, 5세 유아 20명을 연구대상으로 선정하여, 그림책 연계 수학활동을 1주에 그림책 1권씩 2차시로 진행하여 총 10주간 20차시 활동을 실시하였다. 교사는 유아의 수학적 성향과 사회적 기술 검사도구를 이용하여 사전, 사후 검사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 27.0 프로그램을 사용하여 대응표본 t-검증을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 그림책 연계 수학활동은 수학적 성향 전체와 하위 요인인 융통성, 자신감, 지속성, 자기점검, 적용성, 흥미성 모두에서 수학적 성향 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 그림책 연계 수학활동은 사회적 기술 전체와 하위 요인인 문제해결, 정서표현, 질서의식, 자신감 모두에서 사회적 기술 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 결론 그림책을 통해 유아가 수학적 개념을 인식하고 이를 또래와 함께 일상생활과 놀이 속에서 연계하는 수학활동은 유아의 수학적 성향과 사회적 기술을 증진시키는데 효과적인 교수-학습방법이 될 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of picture books-linked mathematical activities on young children’s mathematical diposition and social skills. Methods The subjects of this study were 20 young children for six-year-olds and seven-year-olds in YN kindergarten located in T city, Gyeongsangnam-do. The experiments was done 20 sessions during an 10 week period on picture books-linked mathematical activities. The pre- and post-test were conducted using the test tools for mathematical diposition and social skills was based on Independent samples t-test, corresponding samples t-test using the SPSS 27.0 program. Results First, picture books-linked mathematical activities had the positive effect on the mathematical diposition in terms of four sub-elements of mathematical diposition : flexibility, confidence, persistence, self- examination, applicability, and interest. Second, picture books-linked mathematical activities had the positive effect on the social skills in terms of three sub-elements of social skills: problem solving, expressing emotions, orderliness, confidence. Conclusions Picture books-linked mathematical activitiess are the effective teaching-learning methods. It has positive influences to promote young children’s mathematical diposition and social skills.
