국문 초록

Purpose : This study is a descriptive research study to determine the differences in the image of nurses between Korean and foreign non-medical university students. Methods : The subjects of the study were 102 Korean non-medical university students and 59 foreign non-medical university students, for a total of 161 people. In the case of foreign university students, university students from a total of 23 countries participated in the study, and the data were collected and categorized by continents, including Korea, Asia, Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa. Data collection was from October 9, 2023 to October 20, 2023, and the collected data were analyzed using x² test and t-test. Results : Among the images of nurses between Korean and foreign non-medical university students, there was a significant difference in the areas of ‘abuse of power’, ‘unkind’, ‘valuable and rewarding job’, and ‘deeply bring to notice for patients’. Conclusion : It is believed that continuous promotion, media monitoring, and research in the nursing community will be important tasks to form a positive public image of nurses.
