국문 초록

Purpose : This study aims to systematically analyze the public’s perception of ESG and provide foundational data for future ESG-related research. Methods : This descriptive survey research was conducted to explore the public’s understanding of ESG. A total of 52 respondents from Seoul, Gangwon Province, and Gyeonggi Province were surveyed regarding their awareness and potential application of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). Results : The results showed an increasing positive perception of ESG among the public, with younger generations and women showing higher interest in ESG. However, challenges such as the economic burden associated with ESG implementation and the risks of greenwashing were also identified. Conclusion : When establishing ESG-related policies and campaigns, it is essential to target key demographics, increase efforts to raise public awareness, and implement supportive policies for corporate ESG practices.
