전문상담교사의 진정성 발현 과정에 대한 탐색: 구성주의적 근거이론 접근

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 전문상담교사의 진정성 발현 과정과 그에 영향을 미치는 다양한 조건에 대해 탐색하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 초⋅중⋅고등학교 근무 경험이 있는 경력 4년 이상의 전문상담교사 8명을 대상으로 선정하였다. 자료 수집은 대면으로 1회 90분~120분가량 이루어졌으며 심층 면담을 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 Charmaz의 구성주의적 근거이론 방법에 따라 초기 코딩, 초점 코딩, 이론적 코딩을 통해 분석하였다. 결과 초기 코딩을 통해 504개의 개념을 추출한 후, 초점 코딩을 통해 14개의 범주, 40개의 하위 범주, 126개의 개념으로 초점화하였다. 이후 이론적 코딩을 통하여 전문상담교사의 진정성 발현 과정을 ‘불일치’, ‘자각’, ‘중심잡기’, ‘내적점검’, ‘표현’, ‘변화’의 여섯 단계로 도출하였다. 이를 통해 전문상담교사의 진정성 발현 과정에 관한 이야기를 구성하면 ‘불안을 딛고 진정한 나로서 어린 생명을 마주한 경험’이라고 요약할 수 있다. 결론 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 전문상담교사의 진정성 발현 과정과 그에 영향을 미치는 다양한 조건에 대해 논의하고, 본 연구의 의의와 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to explore the process of authenticity experiences among professional school counselors and the various conditions influencing it. Methods In-depth interviews were conducted with 8 professional school counselors, and analyzed the data using Charmaz's constructivist grounded theory. Results Initial coding yielded 504 concepts, which were then focused into 14 categories, 40 subcategories, and 126 concepts through focused coding. Subsequently, theoretical coding revealed six stages in the process of authenticity experiences among professional school counselors: ‘inconsistency,’ ‘awareness,’ ‘centering,’ ‘self-reflection,’ ‘expression,’ and ‘change.’ The process of authenticity experiences among professional school counselors can be summarized as ‘the experience of overcoming anxiety to face young lives as one's true self.’ Conclusions Based on these findings, the study discussed the process of authenticity experiences among professional school counselors and the various conditions influencing it, and proposed the significance of the study and suggestions for further research.
