국문 초록

해방 후 흥사단의 요청으로 집필된 『도산 안창호』에서 이광수는 도산의 생애와 사상을 기록하는 한편, 그를 통해 자기에 관한 글쓰기의 비전을 모색한다. 안창호와 자기 삶의 접점이나 유사점을 중심으로 ‘동일시’를 시도하거나안창호의 사상을 주관적 관점에서 윤색하는 등의 방식으로 그는 도산의 서사에 자기의 서사를 겹쳐 놓는다. 이에 본고는 『도산 안창호』에 나타나는 이광수의 자기 서술에 주목하여, 그가 타인의 삶을 재료로 어떻게 자기에 관한 글쓰기를 수행하는지 그 서술의 묘를 살피고자 한다. 그 과정에서 작가가 도산의 전기에 자신을 어떤 방식으로 기입해 나가는지, 또 안창호의 삶을 통해 궁극에 그리고자 했던 자화상은 어떤 모습이었는지에 관해서도 그의 자서전적 글쓰기와 비교해가며 함께 논의할 것이다.

영문 초록

In Dosan Ahn Chang-ho, written after liberation at the request of the Heungsadan, Lee Kwang-su not only records the life and thoughts of Dosan but also seeks a vision for his autobiographical writing through this work. By attempting to “identify” with Ahn Changho through the intersections or similarities with his own life, or by embellishing Ahn’s thoughts from a subjective perspective, Lee overlaps his own narrative onto Dosan’s story. This paper focuses on Lee Kwang-su's self-narration in Dosan Ahn Changho, examining how he uses another person's life as material for his autobiographical writing. It will also discuss how Lee inscribes himself into the biography of Ahn Changho and what kind of self-portrait he ultimately aimed to depict through Ahn’s life, comparing this with his own autobiographical works.
