국문 초록

As a representative figure of the Marxist school of history, under the guidance of Marxist historical materialism, Hobsbawm made profound reflections on the concept of imperialism and the development of democratic politics in the imperialist stage from the perspective of historical development, which provided an important historical basis and theoretical support for the study of contemporary imperialism. On this basis, we should see that the impact of imperialism is two-sided, and we must proceed from the historical reality of our own country and understand the essence and problems of contemporary capitalist development on the basis of theoretical research.

영문 초록

霍布斯鲍姆作为英国马克思主义历史学派的代表人物之一，在马克思主义唯物史观的指导下，对帝国主义进行了深入的研究，并且在他的著作中提出了独到的见解。在进行相关理论研究时，霍布斯鲍姆认为帝国主义概念有“广义的帝国主义”和“狭义的帝国主义”之分，以此揭示了帝国主义的复杂性。另外，霍布斯鲍姆还认为在帝国主义阶段民主政治的日益衰败、工人阶级意识的不断成熟、民族主义的逐渐转型，这些都为更加全面地理解帝国主义的历史提供了参考。总体来看，霍布斯鲍姆从历史发展的视角出发，对帝国主义的概念以及帝国主义阶段民主政治的发展进行了深刻思考，其研究为考察当代帝国主义问题提供了一定价值的历史依据与理论支撑。
