상담자의 상담경력과 사례개념화 능력의 관계에서 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 상담자의 상담경력이 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성을 매개로 사례개념화 능력에 영향을 미치는 과정을 탐색하였다. 방법 자료수집을 위해 상담 경험이 있는 상담자들을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 총 261명의 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. SPSS Process Macro를 활용하여 상담자의 상담경력과 사례개념화 능력의 관계에서 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성의 매개효과를 확인하였고, 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하기 위해 부트스트래핑(Bootstrapping)을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 상담자의 상담경력, 사례개념화 능력, 마음챙김, 인지적 유연성 모두 상호간에 유의한 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 상담자의 상담경력은 마음챙김을 매개로 사례개념화 능력에 미치는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 상담자의 상담경력은 인지적 유연성을 매개로 사례개념화 능력에 미치는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 상담자의 상담경력이 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성을 순차적으로 매개하여 사례개념화 능력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 상담자의 상담경력 증가가 사례개념화 능력의 향상으로 이어지는 데 있어 마음챙김과 인지적 유연성의 역할이 중요하므로 이를 증진시키기 위한 상담자 교육이 필요하다고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study examined the process by which counselor experience influences case conceptualization ability through the mediating effects of mindfulness and cognitive flexibility. Methods A total of 261 counselors with counseling experience participated in an online survey for data collection. The relationship between counselor experience and case conceptualization ability, mediated by mindfulness and cognitive flexibility, was examined using the SPSS Process Macro. Bootstrapping was conducted to test the significance of the mediating effects. Results First, the results revealed significant correlations among counselor experience, case conceptualization ability, mindfulness, and cognitive flexibility. Second, counselor experience was found to influence case conceptualization ability through the mediating effect of mindfulness. Third, counselor experience was found to affect case conceptualization ability through the mediating effect of cognitive flexibility. Fourth, it was also confirmed that counselor experience influences case conceptualization ability sequentially meidated by mindfulness and cognitive flexibility. Conclusions The findings highlight the importance of mindfulness and cognitive flexibility in the improvement of case conceptualization ability resulting from increased counselor experience. Consequently, counselor education aimed at enhancing these factors is deemed necessary.
