광양항 항만배후단지 운영성과와 활성화방안 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 광양항 배후단지의 공급 계획과 성과를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 활성화 방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 최근 다양한 배후단지 개발 계획이 추진되고 있으나, 배후단지의 물동량 창출이 광양항 전체 물동량 성장에 미치는 기여도가 기대에 미치지 못하고 있다. 선행 연구를 통해 항만배후단지의 정의, 기능 변화, 유형, 지정 기준 등을 검토하고, 광양항 배후단지의 현재 공급계획과 조성 현황을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 배후단지의 물동량 증가는 지속되고 있으나 항만 전체 물동량 성장에 대한 기여도는 정체 상태임을 확인하였다. 터미널 운영사의 생산성 문제, 항로 부족, 물류기업의 과당경쟁 등이 주요 원인으로 분석되었다. 이를 해결하기 위해 터미널 운영사의 효율화, 고부가가치 기업 지원 강화, 생활물류서비스 활성화, 여수광양항만공사의 역할 강화 등의 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study analyzes the supply plans and performance of the Gwangyang Port hinterland, and proposes activation strategies based on these findings. Research design, data, and methodology: A review of previous research was conducted to examine the definitions, functional changes, types, and designation criteria of port hinterlands. The current supply plans and development status of the Gwangyang Port hinterland were also analyzed. Results: The results show that while the volume of cargo in the hinterland is increasing, its contribution to the total volume of port cargo remains stagnant. Key issues identified include terminal operator productivity, lack of shipping routes, and excessive competition among logistics companies. Conclusions: The study proposes several activation strategies: improving terminal operator efficiency, enhancing support for high-value-added companies, promoting specialized hinterland areas for lifestyle logistics services, and strengthening the role of the Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority.
