국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 그릿의 두 하위요인인 흥미유지 및 노력지속이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향에서 전환기 자녀에 대한 부모의 영향력을 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위해 한국 아동⋅청소년패널조사 2018(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS, 한국청소년정책연구원)의 초등학교 4학년 패널의 2차(5학년)~4차(중학교 1학년) 2,554명의 부모와 학생의 자료를 활용하여 부모의 그릿과 삶의 만족이 자녀의 그릿에 미치는 영향에서 자녀의 삶의 만족의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 부모의 그릿은 자녀 그릿의 하위요인 중 노력지속에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 부모의 삶의 만족은 자녀의 삶의 만족 및 자녀의 노력지속에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 부모의 그릿과 삶의 만족이 자녀의 그릿에 미치는 영향력에서 자녀의 삶의 만족은 자녀의 노력지속에 정적인 매개변인의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 전환기 자녀의 그릿과 삶의 만족을 증진시키기 위해서는 부모의 그릿과 삶의 만족에 대한 관심도 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of parents and early adolescents on the impact of two sub-factors of grit, consistency of interest and perseverance of effort, on life satisfaction. Methods The survey was conducted using data from 2,554 parents and students from the second (5th grade) to fourth (1st middle school) waves of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018 to analyze the structural relationships between parents' and early adolescents' grit and life satisfaction. Results First, parental grit had a positive effect on perseverance of effort, a subfactor of child grit. Second, parental life satisfaction had a positive effect on children's life satisfaction and children's perseverance of effort. Third, in the interaction of parental grit and life satisfaction with child grit, child life satisfaction acted as a positive mediator of child perseverance of effort. Conclusions In order to promote grit and life satisfaction in children during transition, parents need to pay attention to their own grit and life satisfaction.
