해외 한국어 교사의 교사효능감 변화 요인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 해외 한국어 교사의 교사효능감의 변화에 초점을 두고 무엇이 교사효능감을 변화시키는지에 대해 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한국어 교사의 교사효능감과 관련한 다양한 연구가 있었으나 교사효능감의 변화에 초점을 맞춘 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 특히, 해외에서 한국어를 가르치는 한국어 교사의 경우 현지 언어와 문화 능력, 조직 적응, 교수 환경 등 다양한 요소가 교사에 영향을 주며 교사가 겪는 변화와 적응의 문제 등이 교사효능감을 변화시킬 수 있다. 이에 해외에서 한국어를 가르치는 4명의 교사를 대상으로 인터뷰를 하여 교사효능감 변화 요인에 대해 분석한 결과, Bandura(1997)에서 제시한 효능감의 원천인 성취 경험, 대리 경험, 사회적 설득, 정서적인 각성 외에도 외부 상황, 개인 특성, 교육과 습득 요인을 추출할 수 있었다. 교사 인터뷰를 통해 추출한 7가지 요인을 중심으로 세부적인 교사효능감 변화 요인을 다루고, 한국어 교사들의 교사효능감 제고를 위한 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the changes in overseas Korean language teachers’ sense of efficacy and identify the factors influencing these changes. While research has explored Korean language teachers’ sense of efficacy, few studies specifically explore efficacy changes. Factors such as local language proficiency, cultural adaptation, organizational dynamics, and teaching environments can play crucial roles in shaping the efficacy beliefs of Korean teachers instructing overseas. Through interviews with four Korean language teachers working overseas, this study analyzes influencing factors beyond those proposed by Bandura (1997): mastery experience, vicarious experience, social persuasion, and physiological and emotional arousal. Three additional factors are eventually identified: external circumstances, personal attributes, and education. Finally, by focusing on these seven factors derived from teacher interviews, this research provides detailed insights into the dynamics of teacher efficacy changes and suggests strategies to enhance Korean language teachers’ efficacy.
