발표 담화에서의 상대 높임법 사용 양상 및 인식 연구 - 중급 수준 학문 목적 학습자의 '합쇼체'와 '해요체' 전환을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 발표 담화에 필요한 한국어 문체 관련 교육 내용의 기초를 마련하는 것에 있다. 이를 위하여 중급 수준 학문 목적 학습자 10명을 대상으로 설문조사와 인터뷰를 실시하여 이들이 발표 담화에서 ‘합쇼체’와 ‘해요체’ 사용 상황에 대해 인식하고 있는지를 확인하였으며, 학습자들이 실제 발표에서 사용한 종결어미를 함께 분석하여 인식과 사용 양상을 종합적으로 살폈다. 분석 결과 학습자들이 발표 담화에서의 상대 높임에 대해 인식하고 있는 내용과 실제 사용하고 있는 방식에 차이가 존재함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 실제 발표담화에서는 부적절한 상대 높임이 빈번하게 사용되고 있는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 위와 같은 분석 내용을 토대로 중급 수준 학문 목적 학습자들에게 상대 높임 교육 내용을 발표 단계와 상황에 따라 명시적으로 제시할 필요성이 있음을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to outline the contents of Korean speech styles education through presentation discourse. To this end, it conducted surveys and interviews to examine whether 10 intermediate level KAP learners were aware of the context of Hapsyo- and Haeyo-style use in presentation discourse. In addition, we analyzed the final endings that learners used in their presentation discourses. The results of the analysis confirmed that there is a difference between how learners perceive hearer-oriented honorific systems in presentation discourse and how they use these systems. Additionally, an inappropriate hearer-oriented honorific system was found in a learner's presentation discourse. Thus, this study proposes that lessons on hearer-oriented honorific system for intermediate level KAP learners should be made explicit according to the presentation stage and context.
