국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중도입국 청소년과 외국인 가정 청소년 학부모의 자녀교육 경험을 분석하고 이를 통해 자녀들의 공교육 진입을 위한 개선 방안을 모색해 보려는 것이다. 다문화 학생의 수가 꾸준히 증가하고 있고 교육부 다문화교육 지원 계획에서 한국어 학급의 개설 수가 늘어나고 있는 현시점에서 이들 교육을 재조명하여 공교육의 한국어교육 정책에 대한 개선점을 제안하는 일은 시급히 필요하고 의미 있는 일이다. 중도입국 청소년과 외국인 가정 청소년의 학부모를 대상으로 자녀들의 정서적 안정, 학업, 의사소통, 한국어교육, 사회문화 적응, 자기 관리 적응을 내용으로 인터뷰한 내용을 기존의 연구와 달리 학부모가 자녀의 실제 경험을 통해서 체감할 수 있는 현실 속에서의 어려움과 대처 방안, 개선점에 대한 의견들을 세 가지 문제 제기를 중심으로 범주화하여 분석해 보았다. 이를 바탕으로 공교육에서의 한국어교육 정책에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze children’s education experience of parents of immigrant youth and foreign family children, and seek ways to children’s improved access to public education. As the number of multicultural students is steadily rising, and the number of Korean language classes in the multicultural education support plan of the Ministry of Education is increasing, it is necessary and meaningful to shed light on education for them and present ways of improvement of the Korean language public education policy. Based on interviews with parents of immigrant youth and foreign family children about emotional stability, study, communication, Korean language education, sociocultural adaptation, and self-management, unlike existing studies, opinions about difficulties that parents can perceive through children’s actual experience, how they can cope with such difficulties, and improvements were categorized and analyzed with a focus on three problems. Based on this, ways of improving Korean language education policy in public education were suggested.
