국문 초록

This study aimed to provide a general overview of research trends, directions, and future prospects in the field of hair coloring. To achieve this, it categorized the topic into several areas: scientific and cosmetic functions of hair, hair health, cosmetic color, and natural dyes. Bibliometric analysis was employed as the method, with terms related to hair dyeing collected under the categories ‘hair color’ and ‘hair dyeing.’ The analysis focused on papers sourced from the academic research information service website (www.riss.kr). The findings revealed that hair dyeing has evolved from a simple cosmetic practice into a significant form of personal expression and emotional communication. Furthermore, the study highlighted that trends in hair dyeing mirror social and cultural shifts, serving as a medium for expressing individuality through diverse colors and styles. This research offers foundational data for quantitative analyses, social network studies, and further research on hair dyeing trends. It represents a pioneering effort to quantitatively analyze a topic that has previously been overlooked in this manner, due to its relatively narrow focus. Additionally, network analysis of research in the hair dyeing field across different time periods revealed trends in research flow and identified changes in the strength of connections between research topics over time. However, the limited number of research papers analyzed means that significant trends were not fully revealed. By examining keyword frequency and the relationships between co-occurring keywords, this methodology offers potential for identifying emerging research areas and establishing objective performance metrics for research outcomes through various applications.
