영유아 자녀를 둔 부모가 경험한 사회적 갈등과 양육부담감에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 어린 자녀를 양육하는 부모의 양육 관련 행위에 대해 부정적 인식을 표현하는 사회적 인식이 발생함에 따라 영유아 자녀를 둔 부모의 사회적 갈등과 양육부담감에 대한 이야기를 듣고 이에 대한 질적 탐구를 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법 이를 위해 영유아 자녀를 둔 어머니와 아버지 중 사회적 갈등을 경험한 부모 4쌍인 총 8명을 연구참여자로 하여 총 3차례의 개별 면담을 반구조적으로 실시하였으며 면담 자료를 녹음하고 전사한 후 질적연구 중 내러티브 연구 방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 연구참여자는 육아의 과정에서 사회적 갈등을 경험하며 이로 인한 정서적 어려움을 겪고 있다. 둘째, 연구참여자는 사회적 갈등이 현대 사회의 현상, 영유아, 부모 등으로부터 일어난다고 느끼고 있다. 셋째, 연구참여자는 사회적 요구를 통한 협력적 양육을 원하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 영유아 자녀의 부모가 갖는 사회적 갈등과 양육부담감을 줄일 수 있는 사회문화적 인식 개선 및 양육 지원에 대한 현실적인 방안 마련이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to conduct a qualitative investigation into the social conflict and parenting burden experienced by parents of young children, in response to the emergence of social perceptions that express negative views on parenting behaviors of parents raising young children. Methods For this purpose, a total of eight mothers and fathers with young children were selected as research participants, and three rounds of semi-structured individual interviews were conducted. The interview data were recorded and transcribed, and then analyzed using narrative research methods. Results First, the research participants experience social conflict during the process of parenting, leading to emotional difficulties. Second, they perceive social conflicts as arising from modern societal phenomena, young children, and parents themselves. Third, it has been revealed that the participants desire collaborative parenting through social support. Conclusions It appears necessary to develop realistic measures for improving sociocultural perceptions and providing parenting support to reduce the social conflict and parenting burden experienced by parents of young children.
