국문 초록

This study explores the use of onomatopoeias and mimetic words in Mongolian and Korean poetry, with a specific focus on the works of Mongolian poet D.Natsagdorj and Korean poet Yun Dong ju. Onomatopoeias mimic natural sounds, while mimetic words convey sensory and emotional experiences. The research examines how these linguistic elements contribute to the vividness and expressiveness of poetic imagery. By analyzing approximately 80 onomatopoeic and mimetic words from Natsagdorj's poetry and about 70 from Yun Dong ju’s works, the study classifies these words into categories such as phoneme substitution, root repetition, and suffix combination, emphasizing their verb forms. This comparative analysis aims to uncover the distinctive features and functional roles of onomatopoeias and mimetic words in both languages, shedding light on their significance in literary expression.
