간호대학생을 위한 상황학습기반 전문직 의사소통 프로그램의 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 간호대학생의 공감능력, 의사소통능력, 전문직 자아개념 향상을 위해 상황학습기반 전문직 의사소통 프로그램을 개발하고 효과를 검증하고자 시도되었다. 방법 연구 대상은 P시에 소재한 대학의 간호대학생 4학년 20명으로 2022년 8월부터 12월까지 연구가 진행되었다. 실험군에게는 상황학습기반 전문직 의사소통 프로그램을 1회기에 2시간씩 총 13회기 26시간을 제공하였다. 상황학습 기반 전문직 의사소통 프로그램의 효과 확인을 위해 상황학습 전과 후에 동일한 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 결과 상황학습기반 전문직 의사소통 프로그램 적용 후 공감능력은 3.70±0.56에서 3.71±0.55점(t=-.048, p=.962), 의사소통능력은 3.65±0.37에서 3.60±0.34점(t=.515, p=.613), 전문직 자아개념은 4.04±0.36에서 4.13±0.31점(t=-1.613, p=.123)으로 향상되었으나 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 상황학습기반 전문직 의사소통 프로그램의 학습 만족도는 전체 평균 4.78±0.38점이었다. 결론 간호대학생의 공감능력, 의사소통능력과 전문직 자아개념 향상을 위해서는 임상 상황에 기반한 다양한 학습유형을 지속적으로 개발하고 적용하는 전략이 요구된다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to develop and validate a situation-based learning program for enhancing empathy, communication skills, and professional self-concept among nursing college students. Methods The research targeted 20 fourth-year nursing students at a university in P City, and the study was conducted from August to December 2022. The experimental group received the situation-based learning program, consisting of 13 sessions, totaling 26 hours, throughout one semester. To assess the program's effectiveness, a survey was administered before and after the situation-based learning. Results Following the implementation of the situation-based professional communication program, empathy scores changed from 3.70±0.56 to 3.71±0.55 (t=-.048, p=.962), communication skills scores changed from 3.65±0.37 to 3.60±0.34 (t=.515, p=.613), and professional self-concept scores changed from 4.04±0.36 to 4.13±0.31 (t=-1.613, p=.123). However, these changes were not statistically significant. The overall satisfaction with the situation-based professional communication program was high, with a mean satisfaction score of 4.78±0.38. Conclusions To enhance empathy, communication skills, and professional self-concept among nursing college students, continuous development and application of diverse learning approaches based on clinical situations are necessary strategies.
