감성지능이 대학생 학습 팀 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 다수준 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 대학 TBL⋅PBL 활동에서 팀 성과에 미치는 감성지능과 조직시민행동의 선행 변수로서의 역할을 검증하고자 하였으며 특히 개인 및 집단 수준을 동시 고려한 다수준 분석을 통해 그 관계를 고찰코자 하였다. 방법 대학 기초수학 수업에서 도합 108명의 학생이 20개 팀을 구성해 약 8주 동안 TBL⋅PBL 활동을 수행하였고 학기말에 설문조사가 진행되었다. 구조모형 소프트웨어 Mplus의 twolevel 분석 중 Bayesian estimation을 활용한 다수준 매개모형 분석을 실시하였다. 결과 개인 수준과 집단 수준 모두에서 감성지능은 TBL⋅PBL 활동 중 조직시민행동의 증가를 가져왔으며, 다시 집단 수준 조직시민행동은 팀 성과를 향상시키는 효과를 보였다. 집단 수준 시민행동은 감성지능과 팀 성과 사이의 관계를 매개했으며 그 형태는 완전매개로 평가된다. 결론 본 연구는 TBL⋅PBL 활동 중 팀원 개인 및 팀 전체 감성지능 수준에 의해 팀 내 시민행동 수준이 증감하며 그에 따라 팀 성과가 영향 받음을 실증적으로 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 팀/그룹/학급의 감성지능 풍토의 중요성을 보여주며 이에 TBL⋅PBL 활동에 있어 교육 및 실천적 시사를 다루었다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to explore the antecedent role of team members' emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior on the performance of college learning teams using a multilevel methodology. Methods A total of 108 students enrolled in a calculus course formed 20 learning teams, engaging in activities for approximately 8 weeks. A survey was administered at the end of the semester. Multilevel mediation analyses with Bayesian estimation were conducted using the structural modeling software Mplus. Results Emotional intelligence, at both individual and group levels, was found to enhance organizational citizenship behavior in learning teams. Furthermore, group-level organizational citizenship behavior positively impacted team performance. The mediation analysis revealed that group-level citizenship behavior mediated the relationship between emotional intelligence and team performance, corroborating full mediation. Conclusions This study presents empirical findings highlighting the influence of individual and collective emotional intelligence on citizenship behavior in college learning teams, consequently impacting team performance. The results emphasize the importance of nurturing an environment supportive of emotional intelligence in teams, providing valuable educational and practical insights for team-based learning activities.
