Objective: The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of work posture on musculoskeletal disorders.
Method: This study selected 17,309 subjects who met the selection criteria using raw data from the 6th Occupational Environment Survey. Descriptive statistics and Chi-squared tests were used to analyze the general characteristics of the workforce, and the health status according to work posture differences was analyzed using Chi-squared tests and binary logistic regression analysis.
Results: The study found that work posture significantly impacts health conditions. People with various work postures were more likely to experience pain and fatigue compared to those who sit while working. However, those who sit for extended periods were more prone to headaches and eye strain.
Conclusion: Based on this study, it is concluded that intervention measures to improve the working environment should be considered, taking into account the factors influencing the impact of prolonged work posture on musculoskeletal disorders.
