국문 초록

The study focuses on the English translation for quotations in political documents. By constructing a self-built English-Chinese parallel corpus, the study summarizes the characteristics of the usage for quotations. Furthermore, based on the classification of quotations, the study explores the dimensions of national image construction in the English translations for allusions and classical Chinese poetry. The findings reveal that the English translation for allusions and classical Chinese poetry excerpts primarily construct the national image of historical China, cultural China, open China, and peaceful development-oriented China. This paper aims to provide a reference for future research on national image.

영문 초록

本文以政治文献中的引用英译语料为研究对象，通过自建英汉语料库，归纳引用的使用特点，进而根据引用分类，探究典故和古诗词引用英译中的国家形象建构维度。研究发现，典故和古诗词英译语料主要建构了历史中国、文化中国、开放中国、和平发展的中国国家形象，本文期待能够为国家形象的研究提供参考。
