영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to expand requisite lodging facilities in anticipation of the international mega events such as 2002 World Cup through home-stay. The result of this study indicate as follows: First, we need a supporting system by the government to extend and rebuild home-stay facilities. Second, we need a special training Program to educate host-families. Third, we have to develope reservation system through database. Fourth, we have to build up systematic promotion strategy and mutual cooperation system between a private organization and the government. The limitations of this study are as follow. This study was not performed more subdividable study by a type of home-stay. Therefore, I hope that a further study to overcome this limitations are being expected and would keep some more comparative study. The contents of this study are as follows: Ⅰ. Introduction to the purpose and method of this study, Ⅱ. Theoretical backgrounds of this study about home-stay, Ⅲ. Present situation of lodging industry against international mega events, Ⅳ. A plan which is to expand requisite lodging facilities through home-stay, Ⅴ. Conclusion.
