These results of this thesis suggest the following: first, working posture (standing while working) turns out to be a prominent factor for job stress along with a heavy work load, Second, employees in the food and beverage industry have to work at specific hours, especially during meal times. Therefore they recognize it as demanding work, which functions as a prominent cause of job stress and intention to resign. Third, job stress and intention to resign are affected directly and indirectly by future job prospects. Fourth, in terms of social support, which turns out to affect the intention to resign by controlling job stress, Fifth, married employees complain more about working on national holidays and weekends than unmarried employees. Sixth, intentions to resign are quite different according to the years of employment. Seventh, employees in deluxe hotels in Seoul complain more about job stress and intention to resign with relation to working hours, whereas fast food restaurant employees show more job stress and intention to resign with relation to their future job prospects.
