영문 초록

Today we are living in a society that is largely characterized by the increasing use of knowledge and information on a global basis. The world is now changing. Globalism, technology, innovation and knowledge-based society are our present and future. it binds us together much close than ever before. We are really facing a paradigm shift in managing the nation from centralization to decentralization and regional innovation. Therefore, the Participatory Government has tried to promote a regional innovation-oriented growth strategy. It is our common issue and agenda to strengthen the basis of regional innovation systems through regional networking between enterprises, institutes, universities, local government, people, NGOs and so on. That is industrial cluster. The purposes of this paper are to present the direction for development of Eumseong region in terms of industrial cluster.
