To explore the relationship between stressful life events and college students learning burnout, as well as the mediating effect of anxiety and the moderating effect of coping style, this paper conducted a questionnaire survey on 568 college students by using stressful life events scale, learning burnout scale, coping style scale and self-rating anxiety scale. The results show that stressful life events are negatively correlated with positive coping styles, positively correlated with negative coping styles, anxiety and learning burnout, and positively correlated with negative coping styles, anxiety and learning burnout. Anxiety has a significant mediating effect between stressful life events and college students’ learning burnout; Positive coping style significantly negatively regulates the influence of stressful life events on anxiety and learning burnout of college students, while negative coping style significantly positively regulates the influence of stressful life events on anxiety and learning burnout of college students. Anxiety plays an intermediary role between stressful life events and college students’ learning burnout, and this intermediary role is regulated by negative coping styles.
