국문 초록

AI 시대의 도래에 따라 예술계에서는 생성형 AI를 활용한 다양한 예술실험을 활발하게 전개하고 있으며, 공연예술계에서는 인간과 AI가 공동창작하고 공연하는 인공지능 공연들이 속속들이 발표되고 있다. 이에 인공지능을 인간과 동등한 예술 창작 주체로 볼 수 있는지, 인공지능이 인간의 창의성을 대체할 수 있을 것인지에 대한 관심과 논쟁이 뜨겁게 달아오르고 있다. 본고는 인공지능 공연이 인간과 인공지능의 협업 결과라는 전제 하에, 인간-AI 공동창작 공연예술의 특성을 파악함으로써 인공지능 공연예술의 예술성과 잠재성, 타당성을 검토하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 인공지능, 인공창의를 이해하기 위한 기초 개념을 간략하게 살필 것이다. 이후 국내의 인간-AI 공동창작 공연예술 동향 및 창작 과정 등을 무용 <비욘드 블랙>, 음악 <상명 AI+X Project Ⅰ AI 음악회>, 연극 <파포스 2.0> 등 각 공연예술 분야별 사례로 나누어 간략히 살필 것이다. 마지막으로 동시대 인간-AI 공동창작 공연예술의 특성을 현존과 아우라의 관점으로 살펴볼 것이다.

영문 초록

With the advent of the AI era, various artistic experiments utilizing generative AI are actively unfolding in the art world. In the performing arts industry, performances co-created and performed by humans and AI are being announced one after another. Consequently, there is a growing interest and debate on whether AI can be considered an equal artistic creator alongside humans and whether AI can replace human creativity. This study aims to examine the artistry, potential, and validity of AI performing art by identifying the characteristics of human-AI collaborative creation performing art based on the premise that AI performing art is the result of collaboration between humans and AI. To achieve this, we will first briefly examine fundamental concepts to understand artificial intelligence and artificial creativity. Following that, we will briefly review trends and creative processes in domestic human-AI collaborative performance arts, divided into dance , music , and theatre , among other examples from various performing arts fields. Lastly, we will examine the characteristics of contemporary human-AI collaborative performance arts from the perspectives of existence and aura.
