국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 대졸 청년층의 재학 중 일 경험이 첫 일자리의 직무만족도에 미치는 효과를 검증하고, 재학 중 일 경험의 목적과 전공 관련성이 첫 일자리의 직무만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 탐색하고자 수행되었다. 방법 이를 위해 2020년 대졸자직업이동경로조사 자료에 머신러닝 기반의 인과추론 방법인 인과 포레스트를 적용하여 재학 중 일 경험이 첫 일자리 직무만족도에 미치는 평균처치효과를 살펴보았다. 또한 대졸 청년층의 개인 배경, 대학, 취업 준비, 첫 일자리 특성에 따른 차별적 처치효과를 탐색하였으며, 위계적 회귀분석을 적용하여 차별적 처치효과에서 유의하게 나타난 변인들을 통제한 후, 재학 중 일 경험의 목적과 전공 관련성이 첫 일자리의 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 결과 첫째, 인과 포레스트 분석 결과, 대졸 청년층의 재학 중 일 경험의 평균처치효과는 첫 일자리의 직무만족도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 일부 대학 소재지에 따른 차별적 처치효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 일부 지역에 서 재학 중 일 경험이 첫 일자리의 직무만족도에 미치는 효과가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 생계형 일 경험은 첫 일자리의 직무만족도에 부적인 영향을 갖는 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 재학 중 일 경험의 전공 관련성은 첫 일자리의 직무만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 결론 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 시사점과 정책적 함의를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was conducted to verify the effect of in-school work experience on job satisfaction in the first job among college graduates and to explore how the purpose of work experience while in school and the rele-vance of the major affect job satisfaction in the first job. Methods To do this, causal forests were applied to the 2020 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey (GOMS) to examine the average treatment effect of in-school work experience on the job satisfaction of the first employment. Additionally, heterogeneous treatment effects were explored based on personal backgrounds, col-lege factors, job preparation, and characteristics of the first job among college graduates. Furthermore, hier-archical regression analysis was applied to control for variables that were significant in the heterogeneous treat-ment effects and to verify the effects of the purpose of work experience and the relevance of the major on job sat-isfaction in the first job. Results First, the average treatment effect of work experience during college had a positive effect on job sat-isfaction in the first job. Second, the heterogeneous treatment effect of college location was significant, with some regions showing a decreasing effect of in-school work experience on job satisfaction in the first job. Third, livelihood type work experience has a negative effect on job satisfaction in the first job. Fourth, the relevance of work experience to the major had a positive effect on job satisfaction in the first job. Conclusions Based on the findings, implications and policy implications of the study were discussed.
