성인 초기의 내현적 자기애와 이성관계 만족도의 관계에서 감정적 자기노출의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 성인 초기 남녀커플의 내현적 자기애와 이성관계 만족도의 관계에서 감정적 자기노출의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 현재 교제 중인 만 18세 이상 35세 이하 성인 남녀커플 140쌍을 대상으로 내현적 자기애 척도와 감정적 자기노출 척도, 이성관계 만족도 척도를 실시하였다. 커플은 서로 영향을 주고받는 상호역동적 관계이기 때문에 Kenny(1996)가 제안한 쌍 자료분석법인 자기-상대방 상호의존성 모형(APIM: Actor-Partner Interdependence Model)을 활용하여 자기효과와 상대방효과를 살펴보았다. 결과 그 결과 첫째, 내현적 자기애와 감정적 자기노출은 여성이 남성보다 유의하게 높게 나타났고, 이성관계 만족도는 남성이 여성보다 유의하게 높게 나타나 성별 차이가 확인되었다. 둘째, 남성과 여성 모두 자신의 내현적 자기애와 이성관계 만족도 간의 관계를 매개하는 긍정적 감정의 자기노출의 자기효과를 확인하였으며, 여성의 이성관계 만족도에 대한 남성의 내현적 자기애와 남성의 긍정적 감정의 자기노출의 상대방효과를 확인하였다. 셋째, 여성은 내현적 자기애와 이성관계 만족도 간의 관계를 매개하는 부정적 감정의 자기노출의 자기효과를 확인하였으며, 남성과 여성의 이성관계 만족도에 대한 부정적 감정의 자기노출은 상대방효과가 없는 반면 내현적 자기애에 대한 상대방 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 결론 본 연구결과가 가지는 함의를 선행연구들의 결과와 관련지어 논의하였고, 상담현장에서 내현적 자기애 성향을 가진 내담자의 이성관계의 어려움을 효과적으로 돕기 위한 시사점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to verify the mediating effects of emotional self-disclosure in the process of covert narcissism and romantic relationship satisfaction. Methods The Actor-Partner Interdependence Model was used to examine these associations in 140 couples cur-rently in a relationship. Since couples are interactive relationships that interact with each other, this study was conducted by Kenny’s Actor-Partner Interdependence Model(APIM). Results The results showed that, first, female had a higher level of covert narcissism and emotional self-dis-closure than male, who had greater romantic relationship satisfaction than female. These findings confirm gender differences in the variables. Secondly, covert narcissism had actor effects on romantic relationship satisfaction and self-disclosure of positive emotions both in male and female. Male's covert narcissism and self-disclosure of positive emotions had partner effects on female's romantic relationship satisfaction. Finally, Female's covert narcissism had actor effects on their romantic relationship satisfaction via self-disclosure of negative emotions. Female's covert narcissism also had partner effects on male's romantic relationship satisfaction. Conclusions The implications of this study were discussed in connection with the results of previous studies, and implications and suggestions for follow-up research were made to effectively help clients with covert narcissism in the counseling field.
