국문 초록

내륙국의 공항의 성과 개선은 해당 국가의 경제 성장에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 전 세계의 우수 공항의 운영 현황을 비교평가하고, 대표적 내륙국가인 몽골의 칭기스칸 공항의 성과를 개선하기 위한 전략을 수립하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 전 세계 50개 공항을 대상으로 2017년부터 2022년까지의 승객 수 및 화물 물동량 데이터를 DEA Malmquist를 활용하여 분석하였다. 2020년부터 2021년까지는 코로나의 영향을 받은 시기에도 불구하고, 일부 공항은 일정 수준이상의 성과 개선을 결과를 보여주고 있으며, 칭기스칸 공항의 성과 개선을 위한 주요 전략을 참고할 수 있게 되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 항공운송 산업의 특징을 이해하는 데 도움이 될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 공항의 여객 서비스 및 화물운송서비스의 운영 성과 개선을 위한 의사결정에 참고 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Improving the performance of landlocked countries’ airports significantly impacts the country’s economy. This study aims to evaluate the operations of well-known airports globally and identify innovative initiatives and improvements that can be implemented at Chinggis Khaan Airport. The paper analyzes the productivity of 50 airports using the DEA Malmquist index, collecting data from 2017-2022 to improve passenger flow and freight volume at Chinggis Khaan Airport. Despite the pandemic in the years 2020 and 2021, some airports showed promising results, and these are the airports we aim to emulate. The results provide comprehensive insights into the aviation industry’s criteria to aid decision-makers, emphasizing the need for greater attention to management activities
