국문 초록

본고는 갈라 4,28-31이 ‘우의’인지, ‘예형론’인지에 대한 질문에서부터 시작된다. 연구 본문을 ‘우의’로 읽어야 한다는 가설과 ‘예형론’으로 규정해야 한다는 가설을 면밀하게 검토하는 것이 본 논문의 방법론이다. 첫째, 4,28-31은 고대 유다교 전통에 따른 ‘우의’의 기준에 정확히 맞지 않는다. 둘째, 제1 바오로 서간 속 예형론의 특징들에 근거할 때 연구 본문을 ‘이사악-그리스도의 잠재적 예형론’으로 읽을 수 있는 해석학적 가능성이 열려있다. 셋째, 4,22-27과 4,28-31 사이 논증적·수사학적 상관관계는 각각 ‘우의’와 ‘예형론’의 논증 과정으로 분석된다. 특별히 본고는 4,28-31에 대한 바오로의 해석학적 접근법을 밝힘으로써, 이사악과 이스마엘 사이 ‘상속’, ‘박해’, ‘추방’ 같은 고대 유다교 전통의 신학 주제들이 바오로의 논증과 어떤 점에서 연속성 및 불연속성을 맺는지에 관한 추후 연구를 예고한다.

영문 초록

his paper starts from the question of whether Gal 4:28-31 is an ‘allegory’ or a ‘typology’. The methodology of this paper is to closely examine the hypothesis that the study text should be read as ‘allegory’ and the hypothesis that it should be defined as ‘typology.’ First, 4:28-31 does not exactly meet the standards of ‘allegory’ according to Ancient Jewish Tradition. Second, based on the characteristics of typology in the First Pauline Letter, the hermeneutical possibility of reading the study text as ‘Potential Typology of Isaac-Christ’ is open. Third, the argumentative and rhetorical correlation between 4:22-27 and 4:28-31 is analyzed through the argumentation process of ‘allegory’ and ‘typology’, respectively. In particular, clarifying Paul's hermeneutic approach to 4:28-31, this paper foreshadows future research on how theological themes of Ancient Judaism, such as “inheritance”, “persecution” and “expulsion” form continuity and discontinuity with Paul’s argument.
