In this paper, I made suggestions on the use of that the terminology “yeonyong(renyo) form” for -a/-eo form is very effective when you teach Korean grammar to the Japanese native speakers who must have learned yeonyong (renyo) form in Japanese grammar before they begin to learn Korean. I described the reasons as below. a) I am convinced it is convenient to have an appropriate terminology for -a/-eo form. b) -a/-eo forms of Korean correspond to yeonyong(renyo) form in the preceded parts of about half of compound verbs in Japanese. c) Yeonyong(renyo) forms are very important constituents on the word formations in Japanese grammar. d) Yeonyong(renyo) forms are put before the verb honorific form -masu. Therefore the terminology yeonyong(renyo) form is very familiar to the Japanese native speakers and it’s uses are very similar to that of Korean -a/-eo form. It means the terminology yeonyong(renyo)form helps Japanese native speakers to comprehend ‘-a/-eo’ form of Korean when you teach Korean especially in Japan. Before I concluded the above mentioned points, I already introduced “yeonyong (renyo)” form in my book “Korean pronunciation and grammar” publishied in 2004
