성서에 나타난 이방인과 다문화에 대한 현대적 이해와 적용에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 고대 이스라엘 민족과 함께 생활했던 이방인 개념의 <게르>와 <노크리>에 대하여 성서의 최초 기록 언어의 언어적 개념 분석을 통하여 이스라엘 백성들의 삶의 태도를 현대적 관점에서 이해하고, 이주민의 삶을 살았던 우리 민족의 삶과 비교하여 우리 사회에 적용할 실천 방안을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 우리나라의 다문화 상황과 관련 법률, 지원 정책들을 살펴보고 <게르>와 <노크리>에게 취했던 고대 이스라엘 민족의 인식과 태도를 성서적 관점에서 분석하여 우리 민족의 삶과 비교하고, 이를 통하여 다문화사회를 살아가는 우리 사회에 적용할 실천 방안으로 세 가지를 도출하였다. 첫째, <게르>가 우리사회의 한 구성원으로서 역할자라는 인식이 필요하다. 둘째, 이주민들이 정착할 수 있는 법적, 사회적 환경 조성이 필요하다. 셋째, 이주민에 대하여 제노포비아(xenophobia)의 태도를 버려야 한다. 넷째, 인종주의적 우월성과 편향성에서 벗어나려는 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the attitude of Israelite lives from a modern perspective and to derive action plans to apply them to our society by analyzing the linguistic concepts of the first recorded language of and in the Bible and comparing them to the lives of the Korean people. To this end, we examined Korea's multicultural situation, related laws, and support policies, analyzed the perceptions and an attitudes of the ancient Israeli people from a biblical point of view, compared them with the lives of our people, and derived three practical measures to apply to our society living in a multicultural society. First, it is necessary to recognize that is a role player as a member of our society. Second, it is necessary to create a legal, religious, and social environment for migrants to settle down. Third, it is necessary to abandon the xenophobic attitude toward migrants. Fourth, eff orts to escape racist superiority and bias are needed.
