경계선 지적 기능 청년의 진로설계 및 직업준비 경험에 대한 당사자와 관련인의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 경계선 지적 기능 학습자의 진로설계 및 직업준비 경험에 대한 당사자 및 관련 전문가의 인식을 알아보았다. 연구 대상자로 경계선 지적 기능 청년 13명, 직업현장 관리자 3명, 직업훈련 프로그램 담당자 1명, 고등학교 교사 3명, 총 20명을 선정하여 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 지속적 비교분석법을 통해 면담 자료를 분석한 결과 4가지 대 주제인 (1)학습자 특성이 반영되지 않은 학교 진로설계 과정 (2)졸업 후 여전히 적응하기 어려운 성인기의 삶 (3)맞춤형 직업준비 과정의 참여 (4)전 생애주기의 진로설계 및 직업준비 지원 요구가 도출되었고, 그에 따른 11개의 상위범주와 26개의 하위범주, 53개의 내용이 도출되었다. 연구 참여 경계선 지적 기능 청년들은 고등학교와 졸업 이후 진로설계 및 직업준비 발달과정에서 어려움을 겪고 있었고 관련 전문가들은 해당 청년들을 위한 국가차원의 생애주기별 지원이 필요하다고 하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 하여 이들의 학령기 및 학령기 이후 진로·직업 지원 방향에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examines the perceptions of both parties and related experts in the career design and vocational preparation experiences of learners with borderline intellectual functioning. Accordingly, 13 young adults with borderline intellectually functioning, three vocational site managers, one vocational training program representative, three high school teachers, and a total of 20 people were selected for this study. Four main themes were derived by analyzing the results using a continuous comparative analysis. 1) school career design courses that do not reflect learner characteristics; 2) life as an adult that is still difficult to adapt to post graduation; 3) participation in customized vocational training courses; and 4) career design and career support needs throughout the life cycle. As a result, 11 upper categories, 26 sub categories, and 53 contents were derived. As a result, according to relevant experts, young adults who have been struggling in both career design and preparation development since high school graduation should receive national life cycle support. Based on the results of this study, a preview of their direction regarding the support of career work post-graduation has been suggested.
