This article uses the movie “Hello! Mr. Tree” as the research object, and aims to explore how such a work achieved a word-of-mouth counterattack after several years of its appearance. What kind of magic does it have? Why is it so sought after? Many viewers said they saw themselves in it, what exactly did they see? Through the interpretation of the film and the review of time clues, it is found that in addition to the ingenuity of the film itself, under the changes of the times, the feeling of marginalization in society is also an important reason for the revival of film, and the deep reason for the pervasive feeling of marginalization lies in self-exhaustion and burnout under the meritorious society.
