아동의 그릿이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향에서 학교적응의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 아동의 그릿, 학교적응, 진로성숙도 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 그릿이 진로성숙도로 가는 경로에 있어 학교적응의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 방법 이를 위하여 한국아동패널(PSKC) 조사의 11차(초등학교 4학년, 2018년) 시기부터 13차(초등학교 6학년, 2020년) 시기까지 측정된 아동 2,150명의 종단자료를 활용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 28.0과 PROCESS Macro v4.0을 활용하여 매개효과를 검증하였다. 결과 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동의 그릿은 학교적응과 진로성숙도와 정적 상관을 나타냈고, 학교적응은 진로성숙도와 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 아동의 학교적응은 아동의 성별, 부모의 학력 및 취업여부와 같은 중요한 공변인을 통제한 상태에서, 그릿과 진로성숙도 사이의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이러한 결과는 초등학교 고학년생의 진로성숙도를 높이기 위한 교육적 접근 및 프로그램 개발에 실무적 시사점을 제공하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between children's grit, school adjustment, and career maturity, and to verify the mediating effect of school adjustment on the path from grit to career maturity. Methods For this purpose, we utilized longitudinal data from 2,150 children, measured from the 11th wave (4th grade in elementary school, 2018) to the 13th wave (6th grade in elementary schoo, 2020) of the Korean Children's Panel Study (KCPS). The collected data were analyzed for mediating effects using SPSS 28.0 and PROCESS Macro v4.0. Results The research results are as follows. First, children's grit showed a positive correlation with school adjust-ment and career maturity, and school adjustment showed a positive correlation with career maturity. Second, children's school adjustment was found to partially mediate the static relationship between grit and career ma-turity while controlling for important covariates such as children's gender, parents' educational background, and employment status. Conclusions These results can serve as foundational data to provide practical implications for the development of educational approaches and programs aimed at enhancing the career maturity of upper elementary school students.
