영문 초록

The occurrence of COVID-19 stopped cruise tourism not only in Korea but also around the world, and as COVID-19 spread and prolonged, the prolonged Corona Pandemic gave a huge blow to the cruise tourism industry. However, things are gradually normalizing after the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries announced that cruise tourism will resume from October 24, 2022. In addition, with the lifting of the Chinese government's ban on group tours to Korea on August 9, 2023, the number of cruise tour reservations who want to visit Korea is rapidly increasing. On the other hand, Pohang City, a latecomer in the cruise tourism industry, plans to present the following strategy for the development of the Pohang cruise tourism industry in order to revitalize Pohang's cruise tourism ahead of the completion of the Yeongilman Port International Passenger Terminal. First, in order to improve the satisfaction of tourism in the port of call, the immigration procedure should be simplified and the multilingual tour guide function should be strengthened. Second, it is necessary to expand facilities to maintain and secure cleanliness and safety, which have become important after COVID-19. Third, it is necessary to expand policies and projects related to Pohang cruise tourism and to make it widely known through articles and news. Fourth, it is necessary to actively promote Pohang cruise tourism through various channels such as SNS to raise awareness.
