이공계열 대학생의 수학적 자기효능감이 수학흥미에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 이공계열 대학생들을 대상으로 수학적 자기효능감, 수학불안, 수학흥미 간의 관계를 실증 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 방법 수도권 소재 이공계열 대학생 342명에 대해 설문조사를 실시하여 SPSS 통계프로그램을 활용하여 다중회귀분석과 부트스트래핑을 통해 실증분석을 수행하였다. 결과 다음과 같은 주요 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 대학생들의 수학에 대한 자신감, 과제난이도선호, 자기조절효능감 모두 수학불안에 유의미한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생들의 수학불안은 수학흥미에 유의미한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 수학적 자기효능감이 수학흥미에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 대학생들의 수학에 대한 자신감, 과제난이도선호, 자기조절효능감 모두 수학흥미에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 수학적 자기효능감인 자신감, 과제난이도선호, 자기조절효능감 요인 모두 수학불안을 매개로 하여 수학흥미에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구를 통해 이공계열 대학생들의 수학에 대한 불안 완화를 위해 과제난이도선호 요인이, 그리고 수학에 대한 흥미를 높이는데 자신감 요인임을 실증분석을 통해 규명하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the relationship between mathematical self-effi-cacy, mathematical anxiety, and mathematical interest in science and engineering college students. Methods The survey was conducted on 342 science and engineering college students in the metropolitan area, and empirical study was performed by multi-regression analysis and bootstrapping with SPSS statistical program. Results The following major results were derived. First, college students' confidence in mathematics, preference for task difficulty, and self-regulation efficacy were all found to have a significant negative effect on math anxiety. Second, it was found that college students' math anxiety had a significant negative effect on math interest. Third, it was discovered that college students' confidence in mathematics, task difficulty preferences, and self-regu-latory efficacy all had a significant positive effect on math interest. Fourth, it was discovered that mathematical self-efficacy factors like confidence, task difficulty preference, and self-regulation efficacy all had a positive im-pact on mathematical interest through mathematical anxiety. Conclusions It was concluded that this study identified task difficulty preference factors and confidence factors in increasing interest in mathematics via empirical study.
