대학 핵심역량에 대한 학생과 교수자의 인식 및 요구분석

국문 초록

목적 이 연구는 대학 핵심역량 및 전공역량에 대한 학생과 교수자의 인식 및 요구 분석을 기반으로 역량기반교육의 고도화 방안을 도출하고자 수행되었다. 방법 이를 위하여 수도권 소재 대학 소속 학생 13,109명과 교수자 316명을 대상으로 핵심역량과 전공역량에 대한 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 수집한 자료에 대하여 t-검정을 실시하였다. 교수자의 요구도를 분석하기 위하여 Borich 요구도 분석, The Locus for Focus 분석을 수행하였으며, 3개년 동안의 학생 역량진단결과와 비교 분석하였다. 결과 인재상 및 역량체계에 대한 인식의 경우 교수자들의 수준은 보통이상이었으며, 학생들의 수준은 다소 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 기존 핵심역량 및 전공역량에 대한 중요도 분석 결과, 미래 중요도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며 이는 통계적으로 유의한 수준이었다(p<.01~p<.05). 핵심역량 및 전공역량과 관련된 교수자의 요구도 분석 결과, 교수자들의 요구도의 우선순위가 높은 역량에 대해 오히려 학생들은 자신의 역량을 높게 인식하고 있는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 학생 및 교수자들의 역량기반교육에 대한 인식을 제고할 필요가 있다. 역량기반교육 및 역량체계의 개선·보완을 위해서는 기존 핵심역량 및 전공역량을 기반으로 보완하는 방향을 고려해볼 수 있으며, 이 과정에서 구성원의 의견수렴 과정을 통한 공감대 형성과 대학 고유의 역량기반교육 체계를 갖출 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to analyze the perceptions and needs of both students and instructors on com-petency-based education in order to derive educational implication. Methods A survey was conducted on core competencies and major competencies of 13,109 college students and 316 instructors, and a t-test, Borich's needs analysis and The Locus for Focus analysis were performed. Results First, regarding the recognition of the competency model and system, the level of instructors was above average, and the level of students was found to be somewhat low. Second, as a result of analyzing the importance of existing core competencies and major competencies, the future importance of the existing core and major competencies were high, which was statistically significant (p<.01~p<.05). Third, as a result of the needs analysis on core and major competencies, it was found that students tend to aware of their competencies higher with high priorities for instructors' needs. Conclusions It is necessary to raise awareness of competency-based education of students and instructors. In order to improve the competency-based education and system, it is possible to consider supplementing based on the existing core competency and major competency. Also, thorough collecting opinion process from various stake holders in college is needed in order to build up the own competency-based education system.
