초임 전문상담교사 멘토링 프로그램 개발 및 효과 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 초임 전문상담교사의 역량 강화를 위해 초임 전문상담교사를 대상으로 멘토링 프로그램을 개발·실행하여 효과를 분석하는 것이다. 방법 문헌연구, 초점집단면담, 델파이조사를 바탕으로 초임 전문상담교사 멘토링 프로그램을 개발한 후, 근무경력 3년 미만의 전문상담교사 7명을 멘티로, 7년 이상 경력의 전문상담교사 5명을 멘토로 하여 멘토링 프로그램의 효과를 분석하였다. 효과 분석을 위해 혼합연구방법을 사용하여 심층면담 후 질적내용분석(QCA)을 하였고, 전문상담교사 역량 척도를 사전과 사후에 실시하여 비모수 통계기법(nonparametric method)으로 분석하였다. 결과 질적내용분석 결과, 멘토가 경험한 초임 전문상담교사 멘토링 프로그램 효과는 전문성 향상 및 유능감 증진, 성장욕구 발현, 전문상담교사 영역확장이었다. 다음으로 멘티가 경험한 멘토링 프로그램 효과는 학교상담 적응의 초석, 전문상담교사로서 전문성 향상, 전문상담교사로서 정체감 형성이었다. 비모수 통계분석 결과, 전체 전문상담교사 역량과 전문상담교사 전문적 자질영역 중 ‘교육역량’과 ‘행정역량’이 멘토링 프로그램 이후에 유의하게 높아졌다. 결론 본 연구는 국내 전문상담교사 요구를 바탕으로 초임 전문상담교사 멘토링 프로그램을 개발 및 실행하여 전문상담교사 역량 향상에 기여했다는 점에서는 큰 의의가 있다. 또한 본 연구에서 개발된 초임 전문상담교사 멘토링 프로그램이 널리 활용된다면 전문상담교사의 역량을 높이고 학교상담 활성화에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The aim of this study was to verify the efficacy of a mentoring program designed for novice school counseling teachers through the development and implementation of a mentoring program aimed at enhancing their their competencies. Methods To assess the effectiveness of the mentoring program for novice school counseling teachers, qualitative content analyses (QCA) and nonparametric methods were employed. Results The results of QCA indicate that mentors reported experiencing professional improvement and enhanced competence. The mentoring program ignited a desire for growth and broadened the scope of school counseling for mentors. Similarly, mentees expressed that their participation in the mentoring program played a pivotal role in adapting to school counseling, improving professionally as school counseling teachers, and shaping their iden-tity in this role. Furthermore, the levels of school counseling teacher’s competency were measured before and af-ter the program. Nonparametric analyses were conducted using SPSS 23.0. The differences between pre-scores and post-scores for total competency, educational competency, and administrative competency were found to be statistically significant. Conclusions This study has implications as it developed and implemented a mentoring program based on the needs of school counseling teachers. It also verified the program’s effectiveness in enhancing the competency of school counseling teachers. The mentoring program can contribute to the field of school counseling by bolster-ing school counseling teachers’ competency.
