국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 의과대학 임상실습 교육의 주요한 결정 주체인 교수와 미래의 의료인으로서 첫 발을 내딛는 의과대학생 간의임상실습 교육에 대한 인식에 차이가 있는지 규명하는 것이었다. 방법 서울 소재 E-의과대학 의학과 임상실습 교육에 참여한 재학생 66명과 교수 60명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하고 독립표본 t-검정과 교차분석 방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 임상실습 교육에 대한 만족도와 적합도는 학생 집단이 교수 집단에 비해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 임상실습 교육 환경의 하위요인 중 ‘실습환경 준비도’ 요인은 교수 집단이 학생 집단에 비해 긍정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로나타났다. 학습, 관계, 공간 등 일부 세부 문항에서도 학생 집단과 교수 집단 간에 유의미한 평균 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진료 능력 달성도의 교수와 학생 간에 차이를 살펴본 결과, 8개 하위 진료 능력 모두에서 학생 집단과 교수 집단 간에 유의미한 차이가나타나지 않았다. 결론 본 연구는 학생과 교수를 대상으로 임상실습 교육과정에 대한 인식의 차이를 경험적으로 확인하고, 효과적인 임상실습 교육실현을 위한 정보를 제공하였다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to determine if there is a difference in perceptions of clinical clerkship education between professors, who are the primary decision makers in medical school clinical clerkship education, and medical students, who are taking their first steps as future healthcare providers. Methods A survey was conducted among 66 students and 60 professors who participated in clinical training in the Department of Medicine at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea, and analyzed using independent sample t-tests and cross-over analysis. Results First, the student group perceived the satisfaction and appropriateness of clinical education more positively than the faculty group. Second, the faculty group perceived the clinical education environment sub-component “readiness of the environment” more positively than the student group. Some of the sub-factors such as learning, relationships, and space also showed significant mean differences between the student and faculty groups. Third, when we examined the differences between faculty and students in the achievement of practice skills. Conclusions This study is significant in that it empirically confirms experiential differences in perceptions of the clinical clerkship education process between students and professors, and provides information for the effective implementation of clinical clerkship education.
