국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 고등학생의 외모 만족도와 행복감 간의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 부산시 소재 고등학생 219명을 대상으로 외모 만족도와 행복감 및 자기효능감 검사를 실시하였다. 이들 변인 간의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였고, 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하기 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외모 만족도와 행복감, 자기효능감 간의 관계는 유의한 정적상관을 보였다. 둘째, 외모 만족도와 행복감 간의 관계에서 자기효능감의 부분매개효과를 나타내었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 고등학생의 행복감의 향상을 위하여 학생 자신이 지각하는 외모 만족도와 자기효능감이 중요한 요인임을 알았다. 이를 통해 학생들의 외모 만족에 대한 긍정적 지각 향상과 자기효능감 증진을 높이는 학교현장의 적극적인 개입방안에 대한 시사점과 후속연구를 위한 제언에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between appearance satisfaction and happiness of high school students. To this end, 219 high school students in Busan were tested for appearance satisfaction, happiness, and self-efficacy. Correlation analysis was conducted to find out the relationship between these variables, and hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to verify the mediating effect of self-efficacy. The results of the study are as follows. First, the relationship between appearance satisfaction, happiness, and self-efficacy showed a significant positive correlation. Second, the relationship between appearance satisfaction and happiness showed a partial mediating effect of self-efficacy. Based on the results of this study, it was found that appearance satisfaction and self-efficacy perceived by students themselves are important factors to improve the happiness of high school students. Through this, implications for active intervention measures at school sites and suggestions for follow-up research were discussed to enhance students' positive perception of appearance satisfaction and self-efficacy.
