국문 초록

이 글은 『인간의 마음을 사로잡는 스무 가지 플롯』을 중심으로 플롯에 주목해야 하는 이유와 플롯 유형론이 이야기 창작에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 따라서 이 글은 첫째, 이야기의 원형을 찾고 싶은 인간의 관심이 어떠한 양상으로 다양한 이야기들을 패턴화하고 구분 짓거나 연결짓는지를 살펴보는 과정으로 진행되었다. 둘째, 이러한 이야기 유형화의 양상 고찰을 통해 과거부터 대중이 좋아한 이야기의 특징과 이러한 이야기를 만드는 창작의 원리나 구조 등을 알아보는 과정으로 이어지고 있다. 이러한 고찰을 통해, 이야기 유형론이 앞으로 생성될 다양한 이야기에 미칠 영향과, 이야기 유형론을 활용한 다양한 스토리텔링의 가능태를 전망해 볼 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This article examines the reasons why we should pay attention to plots and the influence of plot typology on story creation, focusing on 『20 Masters Plots and How to Build Them』. Therefore, this article was conducted as a process of first, looking at how human interest in finding the original form of a story patterns, distinguishes, or connects various stories. Second, through the examination of the typology of these stories, it leads to the process of finding out the characteristics of the stories that the public liked from the past and the principles and structures of creation that make these stories. Through these considerations, it will be possible to predict the effect that story typology will have on various stories to be created in the future and the potential of various storytelling using story typology.
