영문 초록

This paper aims to analyze residents ’ perception towards the impact of religious tourism in Lumbini Nepal. A conveniently selected sample of 116 local residents in LumMni has been surveyed for the study. Regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between tourism impacts and support for tourism development. The results revels that social impact, cultural impact has significant effect on support for tourism while economic impact and environmental impact are not significant. The results suggest that social and cultural impacts, among other tourism impacts, need to be considered as important aspects for locals in a religious tourism destination.
