영문 초록

Despite the benefits of tourism development, local residents complain about the excessive influx of tourists as they can suffer from touristification of the neighborhood. In particular, residents express that the current policies implemented are to promote tourism while not considering their well-being and/or quality of life. However, very little research has been undertaken to address the relationships between tourism-related stress, residents9 emotions, and their quality of life. To help policy makers better understand inconveniencies for the residents, it is important to explore the impacts of stress caused by tourism on residents9 quality of life. In particular, this study aims to examine how t이irism-rekted stress influence residents9 feelings toward tourists (i.e. emotional solidarity) and their quality of life.
