국문 초록

본 연구는 2007년 개정 교육과정의 철학과 내용 체계 및 운영의 방향을 초등학교에 초점을 두고 입체적으로 고찰하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 교육과정의 머리말에 들어있는 ‘교육과정의 성격’과 총론의 제1장과 제2장에 포함된 ‘교육과정의 구성 방침’과 ‘추구하는 인간상’ 및 ‘초등학교 교육목표’를 연결지어 그 철학을 분석하여 구조화하였다. 본 연구에서는 또한 교육과정 개정의 배경과 긴밀한 관련 속에서 2007년 개정 교육과정의 주요 내용을 확인하였다. 교육과정 운영의 방향은 근본적으로 이들 교육과정의 철학과 주요 내용에 바탕을 두고 있다. 연구자는 이러한 시각에서 교육과정 운영의 방향을 교과활동, 재량활동, 특별활동, 평가라는 네 가지 항목으로 구분하여 고찰하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to look out the philosophy, items of contents, and implementing direction of '2007 revised national curriculum' in elementary school. 2007 revised national curriculum was developed according to the principle named momentary-partial improvement. So, the philosophy and items of contents in 7th curriculum are kept up in 2007 revised national curriculum. Especially, the curriculum embodies the fundamental idea of becoming to realize its nature in the hands of agents of schooling guided by student based curriculum, curriculum for improving the schooling in its nature, and curriculum for maintaining the quality of schooling. The idea pursues the grounding abilities and habits for learning and life as version of elementary school to 'devotion to the welfare of mankind' as the ideal image of man in Korea. To carry through out the purpose, the curriculum has three areas of activities: school subjects activity, extraordinary activity, and discretionary activity. Moreover, teacher runs standard times alloted in the curriculum intentionally. Of course, in this case, teacher must obey the guidelines connected with the matter in the curriculum. In addition to this limitation, teacher is forced to conform with the implementing plans of each areas in the curriculum. 2007 revised national curriculum is designed to fulfill the balance between generality in degree of nation and peculiarity in school through this ways.
